What it costs has two parts: the advertised fee, and the exchange-rate margin kept by paying your recipient less than the mid-market rate. The margin is usually the larger, and is never labelled as a fee. Figures are each provider’s published terms, with the fee figures checked against each provider’s own published schedule — open a provider for a live quote.
Too few checked amounts on this corridor to rank by money, so the order is payout coverage, delivery speed and published fees — a provider with a checked figure is not placed above one without. Affiliate arrangements never affect this order.
No labels are awarded on this corridor. With 3 providers the table is the comparison, and calling one of them best of 3 would dress a short list up as a finding.
Where two providers tie, the one supporting more payout types is listed first, then the faster one, then alphabetically. A label is left unawarded whenever the data we hold cannot support it — we would rather show fewer claims than invented ones. No provider on this corridor publishes its exchange rate in advance, so no Best value is named here. Full methodology
What these figures are
- Fees
- As each provider publishes them, September 2026. A provider that does not publish a fee for this corridor shows none rather than a guess.
- Payout methods, delivery speed, promotions
- Read from each provider’s own pages for this corridor and last reviewed September 2026. Where a provider’s own sources disagree, the disagreement is printed rather than resolved.
Independent — providers cannot pay for placement or ranking · Consistent — every checked amount measured on the same corridor at the same send amount, and any fee quoted on a different basis says so on its own row · Transparent — the advertised fee kept separate from the rate margin
How much you send changes which provider is cheapest
A transfer costs two things: a fee you can see, and a cut of the exchange rate you cannot. They scale in opposite directions, so the best provider for kr200 to Poland is often not the best provider for kr5,000.
The flat fee is most of what you pay
On a small transfer a kr5 fee is a real percentage of the money. A rate margin of half a percent on kr200 is one dollar — small enough to ignore. Sort by the fee and take the lowest one you trust.
The exchange rate is most of what you pay
The fee stops mattering and the rate takes over. Half a percent on kr5,000 is kr25 — five times a typical fee, and no provider calls it a charge. A zero-fee offer on a large transfer is the one most worth checking.
SEK to PLN at common amounts
| You send | Mid-market value | Load into calculator |
|---|---|---|
| SEK 100.00 | PLN 39.30 | |
| SEK 250.00 | PLN 98.26 | |
| SEK 500.00 | PLN 196.52 | |
| SEK 1,000 | PLN 393.03 | |
| SEK 2,500 | PLN 982.59 | |
| SEK 5,000 | PLN 1,965 |
Pick a row to load that amount into the calculator at the top of the page. These are mid-market values, not provider quotes — every service pays your recipient somewhat less, so use them as the figure to measure an offer against.
What is the fastest way to send money to Poland?
Western Union quotes the fastest delivery on this corridor at minutes to days. Published speeds describe the fastest route a provider offers, not every route: paying by card and sending to a wallet is usually near-instant, while a bank transfer funded by direct debit takes longer whoever you send with.

Before you send to Poland
- Wise's Swedish tables carry eight funding rows, more than any other market on this site, and two of them are open-banking bank payments: a generic one and Trustly, named separately. They are not priced alike. Trustly costs 60.49 SEK where the generic option costs 55.91 SEK, for what is functionally the same thing — paying from your own bank account. Trustly is the familiar Swedish brand, and on this corridor picking it by name costs you about 4.58 SEK more than picking the unbranded option beside it.
- The generic open-banking option and an ordinary bank transfer are priced identically here, both at 55.91 SEK. That is different from the euro markets on this site, where open banking is consistently cheaper than a manual transfer. In Sweden it saves you the typing, not the money.
- Wise's debit card figure is not quoted here. Two independent reads of the page on the same day returned 87.48 SEK and 404.54 SEK — a factor of more than four. Its credit card row held at 439.43 SEK across both reads and is published.
- Wise quotes its Swedish tables at 10,000 SEK, not the 1,000 of the local unit it uses on most markets — roughly 900 euro. That is a fourth distinct basis on this site, after the 1,000 default, Switzerland's 2,000 and Norway's 8,000. A krona figure cannot be read against a euro or pound figure elsewhere without converting first.
- Remitly's promotional rate covers only the first 5,000 SEK here, against 15,000 on this hub's Thailand page. The offer text reads much the same on both; the cap does not.
What it costs to send money to Poland
Sending money from Sweden to Poland converts Swedish kronas (SEK) into Polish złotys (PLN). Most of the real cost is not the headline fee — it is the exchange-rate margin, the gap between your quoted rate and the mid-market rate banks use between themselves. Two providers can both advertise "no fees" and still differ by several percent on what actually arrives.
Poland is in the EU but has not adopted the euro — sending euros instead of złoty usually triggers a second, worse conversion at the recipient's bank.
That is why the comparison above leads with how your recipient can be paid rather than with a headline price: match the service to how they actually want the money, then check the final quote.
How to choose the right provider
Compare the amount received, not the fee
Enter the same amount with two or three providers and compare what your recipient in Poland actually receives in Polish złotys. That one number folds the fee and the rate margin together.
Match the payout method to your recipient
In Poland the common rails are bank deposit over the Express Elixir instant rail, plus a wide cash pickup network. A slightly pricier provider paying into the wallet or account they already use beats a cheaper one that means a trip to an agent.
Check cash pickup coverage before you send
Remitly and Western Union offer cash pickup in Poland. Check the specific branch is open and stocked before sending, especially outside major cities.
Verify the provider is licensed
Any service moving money out of Sweden should be registered with Finansinspektionen. Everyone we list is — worth checking for any service you find elsewhere.
