Editorial Policy

Last updated

Remit Architect compares money transfer services. Some of the links on this site earn us a commission. That arrangement creates an obvious incentive to write flattering things about whoever pays best, and this page exists to explain the rules we hold ourselves to so that it does not happen.

Commercial relationships never affect rankings

Providers cannot pay for placement, for a badge, or for a better write-up. No provider is given advance sight of what we publish about them, and no provider has editorial approval over any page.

The order of the comparison table is set by our own criteria, described in full on our methodology page. Where a provider has no affiliate programme at all, it is still listed and can still rank first — we simply earn nothing when a reader uses it.

What we publish, and what we refuse to publish

We publish figures we can attribute to a source. Where a provider does not publish its pricing, the table says so rather than showing an estimate dressed up as a fact. Where our research produced conflicting or outdated numbers, we leave the claim out entirely instead of picking the more attractive one.

We also publish absences. If a well-known provider does not serve a corridor, we say so and link the source, because knowing that a service will not work is as useful as knowing that one will.

How our claims are worded

  • We do not describe our figures as live quotes. They are each provider's published terms as we last verified them.
  • We do not claim a provider is cheapest overall unless the comparison supports it for a stated amount and payout method.
  • We separate the transfer fee from the exchange-rate margin everywhere, because blending them into one number hides the larger of the two costs.
  • We do not use urgency, scarcity, or fear to push a reader toward a provider.

Independence and ownership

Remit Architect is independently owned and operated. It is not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any money transfer provider, bank, or payment company. If that ever changes, this page will say so before anything else on the site does.

Nobody is paid to write a positive review

Contributors are not compensated based on how favourably they write about a provider, on click-through rates, or on commissions earned from a page. If we ever accept sponsored content, it will be labelled as such at the top of the page and excluded from comparison tables entirely.
