What it costs has two parts: the advertised fee, and the exchange-rate margin kept by paying your recipient less than the mid-market rate. The margin is usually the larger, and is never labelled as a fee. Figures are each provider’s published terms — open a provider for a live quote.

Too few checked amounts on this corridor to rank by money, so the order is payout coverage, delivery speed and published fees — a provider with a checked figure is not placed above one without. Affiliate arrangements never affect this order.

Payout methods, delivery speed, promotions
Read from each provider’s own pages for this corridor and last reviewed October 2026. Where a provider’s own sources disagree, the disagreement is printed rather than resolved.

Independent — providers cannot pay for placement or ranking · Consistent — every checked amount measured on the same corridor at the same send amount, and any fee quoted on a different basis says so on its own row · Transparent — the advertised fee kept separate from the rate margin

  • Wise — Wise does not operate from Qatar. Its Qatari send-money address returns the provider's own lost-page screen and redirects to the global home page. Source
  • Remitly — Remitly does not operate from Qatar, or from anywhere in the Gulf except the UAE. Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman each return a 404 on the provider's market root. Source
  • Instarem — Instarem does not serve Qatar outbound. Its Qatari market address redirects to the global home page, which then quotes a euro to rupee transfer — the redirect-to-homepage pattern that looks live to a status check but serves no Qatari product. Source
  • MoneyGram — MoneyGram has no Qatari consumer site. Its Qatari address redirects to the United States home page. It still carries Qatari money: Ooredoo Money names MoneyGram as one of the partners behind its own app, so the network is reachable in Qatar only through somebody else's shopfront. Source

Quick verdict: the best way to send money to Pakistan

Each line names the provider that leads on one specific need, and why. There is no single winner because there is no single question — the lowest fee and the fastest delivery are rarely the same provider.

Chosen by the same rules that order the table, from each provider’s published terms. A need with no clear leader is left out rather than handed to whoever happens to be first.

What is the fastest way to send money to Pakistan?

Ooredoo Money quotes the fastest delivery on this corridor at minutes, and so does Western Union. Published speeds describe the fastest route a provider offers, not every route: paying by card and sending to a wallet is usually near-instant, while a bank transfer funded by direct debit takes longer whoever you send with.

Before you send to Pakistan

  • This is the cheapest corridor out of Qatar that anyone measures, and it is not close. On the World Bank's last Qatari survey the average total cost of sending QAR 730 to Pakistan was 1.33 per cent, against 7.18 per cent to Bangladesh — the same city, the same queues, five and a half times the price. Almost none of that gap is the fee.
  • Part of the reason is that Pakistan paid to keep it low. Until July 2026 the State Bank of Pakistan reimbursed providers for waived charges on eligible home remittances under its Telegraphic Transfer Charges Incentive Scheme, which is why the surveyed average fee on this corridor, QAR 6.67, sits well below the QAR 15 that Qatari banks charge for any international transfer at all. The State Bank ended that scheme from July 2026 but directed banks and exchange houses to keep eligible remittances free for senders and beneficiaries at their own cost (reported by Gulf News and ProPakistani, July 2026). The waiver now rests on a directive rather than a subsidy, so check the fee at the point of sending.
  • Western Union publishes no Qatar-to-Pakistan page. It serves the route — its Qatari service reaches 200 countries — but the address that would carry the pricing returns nothing, so the only fee it states to a Pakistani sender in Qatar is the 20 QAR floor on its Qatari home page. That floor is higher than the 15 QAR fee it states on its Qatari India and Egypt pages.
  • What you pay in Qatar depends partly on who pays your salary. QNB charges 0.15 per cent on a foreign-currency transfer for salaried customers and 0.50 per cent for everyone else, and Commercial Bank charges PayCard holders — a payroll card it states is for employees earning under QAR 4,000 a month — a third to two-fifths less than retail customers for the same bundle. Both are published tariffs, not negotiated ones.
  • None of the digital challengers a sender would reach from London, Singapore or Sydney operate here. Wise and Remitly return a 404 on every Qatari address tested, Instarem and MoneyGram's online service redirect a Qatari URL to a homepage quoting another country's currency, and Ria has no Qatari site at all.

What it costs to send money to Pakistan

Sending money from Qatar to Pakistan converts Qatari riyals (QAR) into Pakistani rupees (PKR). Most of the real cost is not the headline fee — it is the exchange-rate margin, the gap between your quoted rate and the mid-market rate banks use between themselves. Two providers can both advertise "no fees" and still differ by several percent on what actually arrives.

Pakistan's government-backed remittance scheme means many providers waive fees on bank deposits.

That is why the comparison above leads with how your recipient can be paid rather than with a headline price: match the service to how they actually want the money, then check the final quote.

How to choose the right provider

01

Compare the amount received, not the fee

Enter the same amount with two or three providers and compare what your recipient in Pakistan actually receives in Pakistani rupees. That one number folds the fee and the rate margin together.

02

Match the payout method to your recipient

In Pakistan the common rails are bank deposit, Easypaisa and JazzCash wallets, and cash pickup. A slightly pricier provider paying into the wallet or account they already use beats a cheaper one that means a trip to an agent.

03

Pay more for speed only when you need it

Ooredoo Money and Western Union can deliver within minutes, but express usually costs more in fee or margin. If it is not urgent, the economy option on the same platform is often meaningfully cheaper.

04

Check cash pickup coverage before you send

Western Union offer cash pickup in Pakistan. Check the specific branch is open and stocked before sending, especially outside major cities.

05

Verify the provider is licensed

Any service moving money out of Qatar should be registered with the Qatar Central Bank. Everyone we list is — worth checking for any service you find elsewhere.

Frequently Asked Questions

There is no single cheapest provider on this corridor — it depends on how much you send and how your recipient is paid. Compare the total amount received in Pakistani rupees rather than the advertised fee, since the exchange rate margin is usually the larger cost. Bank deposit is typically cheaper than cash pickup.

Delivery ranges from minutes to a few business days depending on the provider and payout method. Ooredoo Money and Western Union can deliver within minutes when you pay by debit card. Bank-funded and economy transfers typically take one to three business days but usually cost less. Transfers sent outside banking hours or over a weekend may not settle until the next working day.

Across the providers we compare, the available payout methods are bank deposit, cash pickup and mobile wallet. The most widely used options in Pakistan are bank deposit, Easypaisa and JazzCash wallets, and cash pickup. Pakistan's government-backed remittance scheme means many providers waive fees on bank deposits. Not every provider supports every method, so check the table above before you commit.

No. Western Union offer cash pickup in Pakistan, so your recipient can collect the funds with valid photo ID and the transfer reference number. That said, bank deposit, Easypaisa and JazzCash wallets, and cash pickup generally cost less than cash collection.

Providers rarely give you the mid-market rate — the reference rate you see on Google or Reuters. Instead they add a margin, typically between 0.4% and 4%, and keep the difference. That margin is often larger than the visible transfer fee, which is why a "no fee" service can still be more expensive overall. For QAR to PKR, compare the quoted rate against the mid-market rate to see the real spread you are paying.

Yes, provided you use a licensed provider. Every service listed on this page is regulated in Qatar under the Qatar Central Bank, which requires safeguarding of customer funds and identity verification. Send only to people you know personally, keep your transfer reference private, and be sceptical of anyone pressuring you to send money urgently to someone you have not met.

Yes. Each provider sets its own transfer limits, which vary by how much identity verification you have completed and how you pay. Larger transfers may require additional documentation such as proof of source of funds. For transfers above roughly QR10,000, a specialist foreign-exchange broker will often beat an app on rate.

Wise does not operate from Qatar. Its Qatari send-money address returns the provider's own lost-page screen and redirects to the global home page. Remitly does not operate from Qatar, or from anywhere in the Gulf except the UAE. Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman each return a 404 on the provider's market root. Instarem does not serve Qatar outbound. Its Qatari market address redirects to the global home page, which then quotes a euro to rupee transfer — the redirect-to-homepage pattern that looks live to a status check but serves no Qatari product. MoneyGram has no Qatari consumer site. Its Qatari address redirects to the United States home page.
